Fading lights they call me from a horizon I never thought I’d comprehend. Silent songs, they call me from places that even I don’t understand. I’m at mercy at their feet, I can hardly ever sleep, it’s like I’m crazy. And I don’t want to see anything anymore, except maybe you and me.
I worked with a close friend in Europe in 2012 but we just did a live session where I played through 20+ songs and I would often alter lyrics and make up songs, melodies, and words on the spot. I left with a CD that we didn’t even mix. These songs sat on that scratched disc for 14 years before being released. This recording is authentic, genuine, and real, just the way I like it.

About Live Studio Session
I like to record live in the studio and get ideas and then listen back before recording the final work. That was the idea here as well and these songs would have been part of my next acoustic album. I just never made it there due to personal reasons — but I will now.
There’s a few things I’d change if I could (like using a pop filter lol) but I loved the moments and I like the songs. I don’t mind the imperfection as it more closely resembles life. Most people would cut out breaths and smacked lips and little noises but sometimes I like them. It’s like listening to vinyl. Snap.. crack ..pop. It’s a mood. And to be honest, there was no intention of ever releasing these publicly.
Setting: Played live in the studio. No punch-ins or different takes. Warts and all.
Recommendation: Listen alone with headphones, late at night in the dark or by candlelight, possibly naked.
