For Tomorrow

When I leave, I just go
Lend a hand to the sullen man
Behind the piano near the store
Where the kind offerer
Isn't offering anymore

And when you feel like you'll lose
Just tie the remnants of your youth
And find a way to start the day a little better
Mastermind your way through the gruesome weather

Find the tide by the sea
And feel the breeze
Find the time by the bay
Where you stay

And when my words have all but gone
And I can barely hold on
I tend to feel a bit confused by all the reviews
Like a rambler with a ragged joker's noose

Find the tide by the sea
And feel the breeze
Find the tide by the sea
And feel the breeze

When I see the storm
That is a risin'
In the distant hallowed horizon
Near the echoes of the sun... that's a blazin'
With my love for you

Find the tide
Feel the breeze
And find the time
Find the tide
And feel the breeze
Just keep moving on

When I leave, I just go
Lend a hand to the sullen man
Behind the piano and near the store
Where this cruel world
Isn't cruel anymore

About For Tomorrow

And then the aftershock, the slow death, the waves of misfortune, and you never know how long the storm will last or how large those waves will be. You never know.

There’s a few things I’d change if I could (like using a pop filter lol) and losing the distortion on the chorus but I don’t mind the imperfection as it more closely resembles life. Most people would cut out breaths and smacked lips and little noises but sometimes I like them. It’s like listening to vinyl. Snap.. crack ..pop. It’s a mood.

Setting: Played live in the studio. No punch-ins or different takes. Warts and all.

Autotune or pitch correction: Fuck that. I’m not AI.

Recommendation: Listen alone with headphones, late at night in the dark or by candlelight, possibly naked.
